OPPORTUNITY – definition

Opportunity – Senior Living Specific

: An opportunity represents an opportunity for a move-in. An opportunity could be a prospective resident looking for themselves.  An opportunity could be an adult child looking for a place/home for Dad.  An opportunity can be an opportunity for a move-in but involve multiple family members/friends or referral sources.

Occupancy Advantage automatically calculates and counts Opportunities by looking at the Prospective Residents and Prospective Family Members/Friends.  Any prospective residents with a relationship to a prospective family member(s) are counted as a single opportunity.  There could be a prospective resident, Dad, and 3 adult children involved in the decision. So long as Dad is tied to, through relationships, to these 3 adult children the system knows that there is a potential for one move-in, thus one opportunity exists, yet 4 people are involved.

Opportunities count is a real-time calculation, looking at the prospects and counting the number of opportunities available at that moment.
